Fall Mani

Hey everyone! It's finally that time of year when the days are sunny and nights are chilly! My favorite season: fall. I love everything about it: the leaves falling, chilly days, starbucks everyday, halloween. I think I'll stop.

I decided to once again create a mani inspired by fall. I attempted two last year but both were a fail. Check them out: Fail #1 and Fail #2! But this year I really liked how they look! Enjoy!

ROSE TUTORIAL: Using dotting tools

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic day. It's almost Friday, yay! One of my followers requested a rose tutorial and I was a bit hesitant since I've never done roses by hand. But I was bored last night and decided to wing it. I loved how it came out so I decided to post it! Enjoy!

This is super easy and only requires some dotting tools! Don't have a dotting tool? Here are some alternatives:
-toothpick
-a sharp pencil
-a pushpin
-bobby pin

Let's get started!

Products you will need:

-(Not pictured): Base & Top Coat: Seche Retain & Seche Vite

-4-5 Polishes: Icing: Electric Emerald, OPI: Strawberry Margarita, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear: Mint Sorbet, Pure Ice: Super Star

-1 very small dotting tool, a medium sized, and a large dotting tool. (Mine are double ended so I only used 2)

1. Apply Base Coat

2. Apply 2 coats of your base color

3. Take your large dotting tool and make uneven circles with the color of your choice

4.(Optional) Repeat step 3 but this time use a different color
*You don't really need to use a different color, unless you are making one rose pink/white and another white/red or a different color

5. Take your smallest dotting tool & a different color polish and start making little crooked lines on the circles

6. With the medium sized dotting tool & a green polish and make small leaves on some roses

7. Mix green and white or take a lighter green

8. Take your small dotting tool and make small lines in the middle of the leaves

9. Clean up your cuticles

10. Apply a top coat and you're done!

Girly Mani/ Ideas

Hey everyone! For today I have a girly mani. I had so many ideas for this one so you can either look at it as one complete mani or you can look at it like an idea for a girly mani on each finger. Enjoy!

*Also I got an instagram! Yay! So be sure to follow me on there: esmenailaddict (Thank you Thalie for coming up with that!)
*I also changed my twitter username to : EsmeNailAddict (Thank you Lydia for letting me know I could change it!)

Gradient Challenge: Day 4: Pink

Hello lovely ladies! Today is the 4th day of the challenge Kelly (Nailpocalypse) and I are doing! Since it is a Wednesday, we decided why not make it a pink gradient?!

So, I chose a stamp that looks a bit like water marble design. Mainly to prepare myself for tomorrows challenge!   Enjoy!

String Mani

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great week! For today I'm sharing a string mani. I originally saw this post from A Polish Addict. Her mani turned out way better though!

If you haven't hear of a string manicure let me inform you what you do. Take some drops of nail polish on a plate/paper and spin it with something pointed (I used a dotting tool)until its thick enough to make/pull "strings" and place on your nails. Enjoy! I hope that made sense.

Splatter Mani

Hello my gorgeous readers! I'm sure you have all seen splatter manis. I've never really wanted to try these simply because it looked hard to achieve.

Along with galaxy nails, and the string method (Which I decided to do; stay tuned for those within the next couple days)

However, they were actually pretty simple and fun! I used some bright colors which are perfect for summer! Enjoy!

Flakies and Flowers!

Hey everyone! For today I have a flakie mani to share. I felt it was a little too dark for summer so I added some flowers to "brighten it up". Enjoy!

*Stay tuned on Friday and next week, I will be swatching 3 of the China Glaze Neons! from their Summer 2012 collection :) (Sun Kissed, I'm with the Lifeguard, and Splish Splash).
I think I may pick up a few more of these!
