10 Days of Halloween: Day 8 - Skull & Crossbones

Halloween Prank: Dress up in a hospital gown and walk around at night saying "They think I'm crazy, but I'm not. They deserved to die. They can't take me back, etc, etc."

I recently ordered a Konad image plate with lots of halloween images on it & i knew i wanted to do this mani! Enjoy! :)

10 Days of Halloween: Day 7 - Vampy Colored Nails

Halloween Fact: Halloween is second only to Christmas in spending. Consumers spend over $2.5 Billion during Halloween. That's a whole lot of candy, costumes, decorations, and party goods.

Hey guys! The other day i was looking at nail polishes that dont get alot of use and i came across the gorgeous red sheer polish. I thought if i layered it over black it would give me a pretty vampire color. & i was right! I figured i would also layer some of my nails with a sheer pearlescent nail polish & it turned the color into a pretty purple! Enjoy! :)

The pictures make it look alot darker than they really are :(

-Base Coat: China Glaze in Strong Adhesion Base Coat
-Black: 1 layer of China Glaze in Liquid Leather
-Red: no name :( (2 layers)
-Top Coat: China Glaze in Fast Forward Top Coat

*Less than one month till Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out!!! Get excited!! :)

10 Days of Halloween: Day 5- 2 "Franken" -Stein Manis (Holo Glitters)

Halloween Fact: The fear of the number 13 is still common today, and avoided in many different ways. Some buildings still do not have an official 13th floor and many people avoid driving or going anywhere on Friday the 13th.

Bride Of "Franken"- Stein Vs. His Mistress

*Alright so the reason for the title is because i made two frankens out of two different holo glitters & mixed w a pink polish that i have that did not come with a name. (One of the glitters is here: wet n wild holo glitter & the other glitter is Pure Ice in Spit Fire)
*I did not know which one i like the best so im letting my followers decide (hence the tittle; key word- VS. )
* So some of you might think this doesnt fit into halloween so let me explain why i think it does:
-1. They are "franken"s
-2. They are somewhat pink, so thats why i thought of Frankenstein's Wife (im not even sure if he has one)
-3. If someone out there decided to be a princess for halloween i think this would be a perfect mani
Enjoy! :)

The Bride- Pink polish with wet n wild holo glitter

VS.

The Mistress: Pink polish with Pure Ice in Spit Fire

The Bride- looks more silver than pink

The Mistress: Pink shows up more but has less holo glitter

The Bride: Close Up (loving the holo!)

                                                             The Bride Again: Close Up

The Mistress: Close Up (loving the pink!)

* So the question remains: Should Frankenstein pick his beautiful bride or the seductive mistress???  Please comment & let me know!

Halloween Fact: To this day, there are vampire clubs and societies with people claiming to be real vampires

So a week ago i bought Halloween stickers by Kiss Nail Art! & I was super excited to wear them, unfortunately they did not stick well to my nails and they were very obvious that i had them on. I ended up picking them off but they were cute while they lasted! Enjoy! (I did these nails at night and since they were coming off easily i had to take my pics inside, so i apologize for the bad quality of them) :(

10 Days of Halloween: Day 1 (& HOLO glitter!)

Halloween Fact: Orange and black are Halloween colors because orange is associated with the Fall harvest and black is associated with darkness and death.

To start off my 10 days of Halloween i decided to do something basic and easy! (mainly because ive been on a "writers block" except for nails haha). Anyways I went with traditional Halloween colors and I love that my mani fits in to my fact! Aside from my mani, im also sharing a holo glitter i bought at K-Mart for$3 .! Stay Tuned for a franken im making with this glitter!Enjoy!

Fail #2: Autumn Leaves

Nail Fact:  Painted nails were not always culturally accepted in some regions of the U.S. in the 1950′s, bright colored polishes such as red were considered promiscuous and all nail polish must be removed on Sundays before religious worship.

* After this post I will start my own little experiment (or what ever you call it) : 13 days of Halloween
(I chose 13 because its an unlucky number; & i have soo many ideas for Halloween manis so i decided to do more than one )

Anyways back to my second fail: Autumn Leaves (If you want to see the first one: Fail #1 ). I decided to change the leaves to more realistic looking and brightening up the colors but again it didnt work out *sigh* But here it is:

* Again if you want to know what colors i used, just leave a comment :)

Fail #1 : Autumn Leaves

Nail Fact: The most professional way of making manicure is to make a base coat, two layers of nail polish and a top coat. Each layer must be thin and done in three strokes. Top coat can be applied daily (if the layers under it are intact, of course) and this way you can prolong the life of your manicure.

So the other I was out with my dad and he noticed how pretty the trees were and said i should do a mani inspired by them. I agreed but it came out horrible and i took it off in a couple of hours (of course i tried it again, using different colors and again it came out ugly, stay tuned for Fail #2) So here it is:

The colors were too dark & they didnt go well together

* If you really want to know the colors I used, leave a comment! :)

Antique Love

Nail Fact: Nails are very tough (compared to skin of course) but even they will be dissolved in about 4 days, if you put them in Coke because Coke is highly corrosive.
